I am Dimitrios Raptis and my story starts in Chalkis, Greece in 1980. After living for many years in Greece for school, studies and work, I moved to Aalborg, Denmark where I am currently an Associate Professor at the Computer Science Department in Aalborg University and a proud member of the Human Centered Computing Group.
My research revolves around User Experience and Interaction Design. During my PhD I focused on mobile devices’ Physical form, and researched their impact on Usability and Coolness. Recently, I expanded my research interests on Wearables and Sustainability and I am interested in understanding how interactive physical prototypes can shape our experiences and/or change our behaviors. I have more than ten years of reviewing experience in most major HCI conferences and before moving to Denmark I worked with mobile devices for the cultural heritage domain at the HCI Group in University of Patras, Greece. |
